IndusInd Online Savings Account (IOSA) is the latest offering by IndusInd bank wherein customers can open IndusInd Savings account in minutes from the comfort of their home. This is an Aadhar eKYC based account which can be opened without any physical documentation. The account can also be funded online as part of the process and subsequently accessed through the Indus Mobile App
2. Who is eligible to open this account?
All resident Indian customers more than 18 years of age are eligible to open IndusInd Online Savings Account. This account is available only for customers who do not have an existing IndusInd Savings or Current account.
3. What are the documents required for opening the account?
All you require is your Aadhaar Number and PAN. You should be carrying your registered mobile number linked with Aadhaar while opening this account.

5. What are the different options to make my IndusInd Online Savings Account a zero balance savings account?

Get a free zero balance account basis one of the following:

  • Opting for a Premium Debit Card

Buy a Platinum Plus Debit card worth Rs 1200 plus GST at the time of account opening

  • Initial Funding with Titanium Debit Card
6. Do I need to mandatorily fund my account on the day of account opening to enjoy a zero balance account?
Yes, you need to mandatorily fund your account as per the variant requirement to enjoy zero balance account.
7. I do not want a zero balance account. What is the minimum balance amount variant available
A minimum balance account with average monthly balance requirement of Rs 20,000 can also be opened online. This variant comes with a Titanium Plus Debit card @ Rs 249 + GST

12. What can I do once this this account has been opened?

13. How much money can I deposit into this account?

The total balance in this account cannot be more than Rs 1 Lacs at any point in time and the aggregate credits cannot be more than 2 Lacs till face to face KYC is completed. Once KYC is completed there are no restrictions on the account.

14. How can I convert my account into a Full KYC account?

You can convert this IndusInd Online Savings Account into a Full KYC account by visiting any branch and doing physical face to face KYC verification.

15. Can I upgrade my account to any higher IndusInd Savings account variant?

Yes, at the time of face to face KYC verification, you can also opt to upgrade your account to any of the higher IndusInd Savings account variant by agreeing to fulfil the balance requirement and initial funding requirements.

16. How can I fund my IndusInd Online Savings Account?

You can fund this account using any of the following:

  1. While account opening itself you can fund the account using payment gateway
  2. Post account opening you can fund the account from your account at any other banks using NEFT/IMPS/UPI using your Account number +IFSC code or the UPI Id.
17. What documents do I need to carry to the branch to convert my account to Full KYC?

You need to carry any valid proof of identity, proof of permanent and correspondence address to a branch to complete your face to face KYC verification.

18. Will I get a cheque book with IndusInd Online Savings Account?

No, this account type doesn’t come with a cheque book. To apply for an IndusInd Bank cheque, you are required to complete face to face KYC verification process.

19. Can I make deposit/withdrawl transactions at any IndusInd branch with IndusInd Online Savings Account?

No, any kind of transactions at IndusInd Branch are not possible with this account. To enable branch transactions, you are required to complete face to face KYC verification process.

20. Can I open a Fixed Deposit/Recurring Deposit with IndusInd Online Savings Account?

Yes, a FD/RD can be opened but only after completion of Face to Face KYC verification process.

21. What will happen if I don’t complete Face to Face KYC verification within one year of account opening?

If you are unable to complete the Face to Face KYC verification within one year of account opening, your account will become inoperative as per RBI regulations, till the time Face to Face KYC verification is not done.
